Privacy Policy - Orbjar
Last updated: 2026-10-22
Orbjar is a puzzle game for Android by Seedlamp Studio. This policy explains what data is involved when you play, who receives it and what your choices are. It is written for the game as published on Google Play.
Who is responsible

The short version
- The game has no user accounts and no servers of its own. Your progress is stored on your device.
- Advertising is served by Google AdMob, which collects data to show and measure ads.
- Purchases are processed entirely by Google Play. No payment details ever reach us.
- If you sign in to Google Play Games, your progress can be backed up to your Google account.
- Anonymous gameplay statistics (levels started and finished, stars, tries) help us balance the difficulty.
- Nothing is sold to third parties, and the game is not directed at children under 13.
Data stored on your device
The game saves your progress and preferences locally: scores, completed levels, stars, collected cards, unlocked themes, sound and vibration settings, and whether you enabled the daily reminder. This data stays on your device unless you use cloud save. Uninstalling the game removes it. You can also clear it in Android's app settings.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The game shows banner ads, occasional full-screen ads and optional rewarded videos through Google AdMob. To deliver, limit and measure ads, and to detect fraud, AdMob may process:
- the advertising ID of your device and other device identifiers;
- approximate location derived from your IP address;
- interactions with ads and with the app (for example whether an ad was shown, clicked or completed);
- diagnostic and device information such as the operating system version and device model.
Google acts as an independent controller for this data. See How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
Your choices. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland the game asks for your consent before personalised ads are used, through Google's consent form. You can change your choice at any time in the game under Settings → Ad privacy choices. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in Android's settings under Privacy → Ads. If you buy “Remove Ads” or the Everything Pack, banner and full-screen ads stop; rewarded videos remain available if you choose to watch them.
Purchases
In-app purchases are handled by Google Play Billing. Google processes your payment; we only receive confirmation that a product was purchased, so the game can unlock it. We never see your card, address or name through purchases. Google's handling of payment data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
Gift codes and updates
Gift codes are Google Play promo codes: you redeem them in Google Play, and the game only learns that the item now belongs to you, in the same way as a purchase. When a new version of the game is available, the game may ask Google Play whether an update exists and offer to install it; this check goes to Google Play only. The “What's new” notes are part of the game itself and load nothing from the internet.
Sharing results
When you tap Share, the game creates a picture of your result on your device and hands it to Android's share menu. Where it goes next is your choice; nothing is sent to us.
Google Play Games Services (optional)
If you sign in to Google Play Games, the game uses it for leaderboards and to back up your progress to your Google account (Saved Games). Your Play Games profile name may appear in leaderboards you take part in. You can sign out, hide your profile or delete Play Games data for this game in the Play Games app or at your Google account settings. Sign-in is optional and the game is fully playable without it.
Notifications
If you enable the daily reminder, the game schedules a local notification on your device at around 18:00. Nothing is sent to us or to any server, and you can turn it off in Settings or in Android's notification settings.
Analytics
To balance the difficulty, the game sends anonymous gameplay statistics through Google Analytics for Firebase: when a level starts and ends, the level number, whether it was won, stars, drops used, the try number and, in boss fights, the boss health left, plus the final score of Endless games. Firebase adds basic technical data such as a random app-instance ID, device model, Android version, app version and an approximate country. The game does not send your name, e-mail, advertising ID or anything you type, and this data is not used for advertising or ad personalisation. Google keeps it for at most 14 months; we only look at totals (for example, how many tries a level takes on average). Google Play also provides aggregated statistics about installs, crashes and ratings.
Children
The game is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them. Its Google Play target audience is set to 13 years and older. In some countries (for example the Czech Republic, 15) the age at which you can consent to personalised ads yourself is higher than 13; if you are younger than that age, please choose non-personalised ads in the consent form or ask a parent.
Legal basis and retention (GDPR)
Where personalised advertising is used, the legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. Non-personalised ads, fraud prevention, basic app functionality and the anonymous gameplay statistics rely on legitimate interest in operating and balancing the game; you can object by writing to us. Data held by Google is retained according to Google's own policies. We hold no personal database of players, so most requests about your data are answered by pointing you to the controls described above; if they are not enough, write to us and we will help.
When you contact us
If you email us, we receive your email address, your message and anything you attach (for example your device model or a screenshot). We use it only to answer you and to fix the problem you report, based on our legitimate interest in supporting our players. We keep the conversation only as long as needed to handle it. Our mailbox is hosted by Google (Gmail).
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may request access to, correction or deletion of personal data relating to you, ask us to restrict its processing, object to processing, and withdraw any consent you gave. Write to orbjar@seedlamp.com; we answer within one month. You can also lodge a complaint with the Czech supervisory authority, Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů, or with the authority in your own country.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page with a new date. The parts shared by all Seedlamp Studio games, and the policy for our website, are on the studio privacy page.
